Year 5 Curriculum

'Facts' about Year 5 (to be used in our computing unit this term).

  • More class merits were given in the week beginning Tuesday 14th April 2026
  • Dartmoor had the most House Points last week - announced in Celebration Assembly om Friday 18th April
  • There are 15 girls and 15 boys in the class.
  • The most common shoe size in the class is a size 12.5.
  • Our current maths unit is Fractions.
  • Our PE days are Monday and Friday.
  • Our Outdoor Learning Day is Thursday.
  • Our class novel is 'Wonder' but Louis Sachar.
  • Our class teacher is Mrs Hardy who teaches us full days every week.
  • Assemblies are held in the school hall every afternoon at 1pm. 
  • We will have two art units this term: 'using crayons' and 'cutting and sticking'
  • Our Key Question for Science in Summer 1 is: What is science?
