Free School Meals & Pupil Premium

Did you know? If your child is eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) and you register, our school gets extra Pupil Premium funding! This money helps us provide extra support, fun trips, learning resources, and activities that benefit every child.

Children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 automatically get a free meal through Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM). This is different from FSM and Pupil Premium, so even if your child already gets UIFSM, registering for FSM still helps the school.

Could your child be eligible?

If you receive benefits like Income Support, Universal Credit (low income), Child Tax Credit (with no Working Tax Credit), Pension Credit, or support under the Immigration and Asylum Act, your child may qualify.

Do they have to eat the meals?

No! Even if your child prefers packed lunches, registering still gives the school funding to support your child in many ways.

How to register:

It’s easy, confidential, and won’t affect any other benefits. Apply online via the Bracknell Forest Council website or pick up a form from the school office.
