Where Learning and Friendships Grow
Our Governing Board
We are fortunate to have a great team of governors, from many different backgrounds, that provide support and guidance to the School.
The Governing Board consists of governors from Bracknell Forest Council; the local community; parents and staff, all of whom give up some of their valuable time, to work in partnership with Mrs Jenkins and her team of staff.
Governors work together to carry out their core functions:
1. ensuring there is clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
2. holding Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils and the performance management of staff
3. overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent
4. ensuring the voices of stakeholders are heard
The Governors usually meet every half term and make regular visits to the school to monitor progress and meet with teaching staff and pupils. They attend events where they have the opportunity to engage in school life.
Mr Nick Payne chairs the Board of Governors.
You can contact the Governors through the Clerk to Governors.

Diversity
The Governors of Cranbourne Primary School believe it is important that boards reflect the diversity of the school communities they serve. Diverse boards promote inclusive school environments and provide diverse role models for staff and young people.
The Governors collect data on the diversity of the board, including data on age, gender and ethnicity. This data informs their recruitment and training needs and ensures there is always a diverse range of perspectives around the table to support robust decision making.
Due to our relatively small governing body we do not publish this diversity data online as individual governors could be identified and we have a legal obligation to protect their personal data.
