Who we are?

Mrs Ruth Huckle - Headteacher
Start Date - 05/09/11  End Date - N/A

I have been the Headteacher at Cranbourne since September 2011.  Previously I have been a governor at a middle school, a primary school  and a junior school, additionally I have worked closely with the Governing Body whilst being a Headteacher at two other schools in a neighbouring authority, giving me over 25 years' experience of governance.  Working with an effective governing body is a privilege; and the conscientiousness of our governing body is appreciated by all at school and especially by me, as I see directly what an amazing job they do. Being a governor is a huge responsibility and it is so important to make the correct decisions, enabling the children to get the very best education and to make a difference to their lives.  This is achieved by us working as a team, having the time to get involved and then having the satisfaction of knowing that our children will benefit from our efforts. We are delighted that our Ofsted Inspection in March 2014 recognised the hard work of the whole team at Cranbourne and our journey towards outstanding. They said ’the governing body and the school’s senior leaders have ensured that good teaching and achievement have been sustained over time and have a clear understanding of how the school can improve further.’ A challenge we heartily endorse.
