Child Protection

Child Protection is everybody's responsibility.

Children and young people have a fundamental right to expect schools to provide a safe and secure environment.

All schools have a legal duty to work with other agencies, for example Children's Social Care, the Police and Health Staff, to Safeguard children's welfare.

The school's Child Protection Policy explains how Cranbourne deals with child protection concerns. You can download a copy of this policy by clicking the link at the bottom of the page.

'Together we can tackle child abuse'

We all have a role to play in protecting children and young people from child abuse and neglect.

Many people do not act because they’re worried about being wrong.

You don’t have to be absolutely certain; if you’re concerned a child is being abused or their safety is at risk, speak to someone.
