Cranbourne Primary School

Where Learning and Friendships Grow

About our school

There has been schooling for primary age children in Cranbourne since 1709 with the school moving to its current listed buildings and delightful grounds in 1880. The school celebrated its Tercentenary in 2009 with the restoration of the bell cupola.

Over 200 children betweeen the ages of four and eleven years currently attend our  seven classes. They enjoy learning in a traditional semi-rural school environment.

Our site benefits from a sports field, a playground, a fully fenced conservation area and a purpose built sports hall. In 2011 we built a new kitchen to provide hot meals on site for the children.  In recent years the PTA has supported us with new play equipment, lockers for the older children, and many other resources.   Construction of our brand new purpose built Reception and Year one class rooms, toilet blocks and resurfacing of the playground were completed in 2016 / 2017.

We also benefit from a computer suite, community room and additional enhanced facilities.  We are constantly striving to provide the best learning environment possible for our young people to thrive and grow.
